My sinus is back and the weakness and that drained feeling
with it. I wasn’t going to miss class though, just take it easy. I got my juice
and energy bar and soon I felt a bit better. I crashed on the bed for a whole
minute before I got ready for class. I worked with the Bo before class. I am
getting more familiar with the weapon and I feel that I can control the weapon
easier and more efficiently than before. Soon a band of Ninjas were in close
proximity and I had to improvise my movements to keep practicing. I effectively
disguised my movements so that no one felt uncomfortable and they kept chatting
while my enemies fell amongst their feet.
We weren’t a lot in class, I was sempai. After doing the
plank and bicycle crunches, I took the stretches. I took a slow paced, but
comprehensive stretch and made sure that my body was both warm and stretched
out, ready for action. I got a junior to train with me. We did body
conditioning and went on to more complex drills.
All the Senseis got a turn to think up a drill, I struggled
a bit in the beginning as my partner resisted the moves. Some of the drills
involved dangerous roundhouse strikes and I didn’t feel like getting a bloody
nose so I added a bit of caution in the beginning. The Sensei immediately picked
up that I was tens and I got the old “relax, it will be a lot easier”.
The Sensei
contemplated a wrestling class, but he decided against it, we did however do a
bit of the Scissors take down using the arm bar to finish. I couldn’t contain
myself anymore and I rolled out of the arm-bar as he tried to get it on. My
partner was sluggish as I got into side mount. I attempted the paintbrush for a
submission, but he saw it coming and resisted, I wanted a better position and
went into top mount. He fought with his hands and I feigned a ground and pound
like a MMA title fight, but the Sensei stopped us. It was fun to experience my
mind strategising and to feel my body move to simple commands like, Paintbrush
and side mount. All the wresting videos are defiantly helping my grown work.
Embrace the shadows.
