I was running late due to work, but I would be dammed to miss another class. The traffic was bad in every way and I barely got into my gi at 6h50. I sped to the dojo only to find every one outside... in the cold... and a look inside the dojo revealed the ninja kids grading.
We started 30 minutes late and I anticipated an open class due to that. We did our warm ups and body conditioning. I had a different training partner. He was a couple of kyus higher than me and I was looking forward to learning quite a bit from him.
We did some 6th kyu moves and the juniors were pressed to keep up and as we went onto choke moves the sensei told us that the seniors should be choked, escape and choke in a roundabout manner. Me and my partner ended up in a full on grapple... it was lots of fun, but Sensei Chris stop us.
We ended off the evening in high spirits with the kata dante and went on our merry ways back to our lives, wives and children. But soon we will rerun to hone ours skills and bodies, to become masters in our beautiful art that is Ninjutsu.
