Syllabus Thursday

Last night we had some of the less attending students with us and although the class was still pretty sparsely attended, we trained hard as usual.

The Senseis were all in attendance and after body conditioning, teacup and bag work so feverishly executed that the two bags that was beautifully refurbished, came violently apart at the seams, spilling white guts over the floor like the mortal wound from hara-kiri.

After a water break we broke up into our syllabus groups and Sensei Chris assisted me and Rudi with 6th Kyu. We covered Escapes from a two handed grip as well as elbow manipulations. We did the key turn 180 and Sensei broke it down beautifully for us into steps we can remember. We also learned how to incorporate a takedown into some of the moves.

And finally we ended of the night like good Ninjitsu students with the kata Dante standing over our dead opponents and bowing to our committed and inspiring Senseis.

Thank you Sensei Chris for your guidance last night and Sensei Garth for being such a constant and resolute leader.
