I didn’t eat well and I was fortunate to get half an hour of sleep before class, so I was in a mellow mood by the time I walked into class. I really wanted to get to the syllabus work to sharpen up before the grading which is now a week away.
I will be grading 5th kyu which is knife and key-ring. I feel quite comfortable with the key-ring so we went into knife again. I felt good, my footwork fell into place and retaining the knife came easy to me. We focused a lot of time on what we were doing so time ran out again before we could finish the syllabus and next week we will need to just revise. Luckily I have the weekend blocked out for training with my friend and we are both looking forward to brushing up on our skills. We might even have another student join us on Sunday.
My dad will be joining us for the grading to take photos so keep a lookout for the next news letter.
Embrace the shadows.
