Training for success

You have heard the Sensei say it: Ninjitsu is a way of live.
But the question that beckons is why do you train? I believe many people will have many reasons for doing what they do with their spare time. With this article I want you to consider one distinct possibility of training your body and mind with a Martial Art such as Ninjitsu. Success.

Again success might mean many different things to different people. To some it will be the Black belt, to others, the knowledge that one precise strike can kill, but I want you to look a bit further. Ninjitsu has the ability to change your life. It can give you purpose and focus. It can make you successful.

Let me explain. You have met “Those” people, who has is all, those people who has everything going for them. They seem to cruise through life and get it right all the time with a smile and have fun with their friends, but what is it about them that make them so successful in life? They have high self esteem and self worth. They believe in themselves and in what they do. They are confidant and it shines through in their interpersonal relationships. They make themselves successful.

So how do you increase your Self esteem? This can be as simple as changing the way you dress... Dress for success ring any bells? But for success you need to have energy. The best way to increase your energy is to increase your body’s metabolism. The faster your body can convert food to energy the more energy you will have. To increase your metabolism you need to exercise.

Most of us don’t like exercising. We would rather watch a movie and eat pop corn than sweat in the gym for an hour. We need a reason to exercise, but be careful here, a goal like exercising to get fit or to lose weight isn’t a good enough reason. You wouldn’t be fat or unfit in the first place if it was right?

Ninjitsu provides us with a well thought-out structured and goal driven approach. Divided into sizable chunks, each grading act as a goal in itself and as your skill builds up, so does your body, confidence and self esteem. Ninjitsu is a non competitive sport which makes it the perfect tool to teach anyone how to use their mind body and spirit and its applications are as limited as the individual’s mind who practice it.
